Catalan Juniors Hockey Tournaments
The Catalan Juniors Hockey Tournaments take place at Whitsun, Easter and Christmas.
Age groups are: U17, U15 and U13s
The Catalan Juniors Hockey Tournament takes the format of a mixed-sex, mini-hockey (7-a-side) event. It is held locally in the Platja d'Aro area and is open to school and club teams. The tournament will take place if there is a minimum of 3 teams in each age group.
All participants receive a tournament medal and attendance certificate. All teams receive a commemorative plaque and the overall winner takes home the Catalan Juniors Hockey trophy to hold until the following edition. The trophy must be returned but each winning team keeps the winner's plate from the trophy.
At Easter the tour takes place during the first holiday week and has a 5 day format as follows:
Fri: Arrive Resort; Sat: (AM/PM) Tournament play; Sun: (AM) Semis & Finals (PM) Barcelona visit; Mon: FREE DAY or optional visit to Port Aventura theme park; Tues: Depart Resort.
The visit to Barcelona includes a tour of the world famous Camp Nou , home to F.C. Barcelona.
At Christmas the hockey tournament is played over 2 days using the format as shown on our title page. Christmas dates are: 26/12 to 30/12
Accommodation at Easter is usually the Hotel S'Agoita, in the centre of Platja d'Aro. The hotel offers 3 & 4 bedded rooms, swimming pool, bar and breakfast room. Evening meals are taken nextdoor at the Hotel Terrassa. Accommodation at Christmas is usually the Guitart Park hotel complex in Lloret, with covered pool.
