Catalan Juniors Rugby Tournaments
The Catalan Juniors Rugby Tournaments take place in February, at Easter,
Whitsun and in October.
Played in 3 main categories: under15s, under13s and under11s,
all teams are welcome, school or club.
Local teams from Barcelona, Tarragona and the Perpignan area, just across the border in Southern France, take part in this 2 day event, held in the grounds of the GEiEG sports club in Girona. Transfer time by coach, approx. 30 mins. The tournament takes place if there is a minimum of 3 teams in each age group.
Matches are played using a format that ensures that all teams play the same number of fixtures. All participants receive a tournament medal and attendance certificate. All teams receive a commemorative plaque and the overall winner takes home the Catalan Juniors Rugby trophy to hold until the following edition. The trophy must be returned but each winning team keeps the winner's plate from the trophy.
The itinerary is as displayed on our welcome page. To complete the tour, we include a day trip to Barcelona with a visit to the world famous Camp Nou , home to F.C. Barcelona . You will have time to visit the Ramblas for souvenir shopping before returning home for an evening's swimming session.
There is an optional extra day for those groups who want to visit the Port Aventura theme park just down the coast near Tarragona.
Accommodation is usually in the ApartHotel Palamos , a 30min coach ride from the tournament venue. The hotel offers 4 bedded rooms, swimming pool (covered part of the year), bar, buffet restaurant, games area, internet cafe, self service laundry and its own 5 lane bowling alley.
